Agriculture

Agriculture forms the backbone for many New Zealand communities including Kaikohe, and is the country’s biggest export earner.  Students can take Level 1, 2 and / or 3 Agriculture over a number of years to gain credits which can be used towards the qualifications below.  The course is delivered as a mix of computer based study, practical investigations and practical work experience on the Northland College Farm and at Telford – Southern Institute of Technology Southland.

Students enrol full time in the The Tai Tokerau Trade Academy and may move to other subjects as required if arranged with their teachers.  Students who still need to complete literacy and numeracy will be catered for within the course.
